Angela Makris is a licensed paralegal, insured and qualified to assist you with your legal needs.  She obtained her Class P1 Licence from The Law Society of Upper Canada in March of 2014 and immediately launched her own firm, Arkhon Paralegal Professional Corporation, as a sole practitioner.

Arkhon is located in Toronto, Ontario, offering legal services in Toronto, York, Durham, Peel and other surrounding areas within Ontario, and representing parties before proceedings in the Small Claims Court, various administrative tribunals established under the Act of the Legislature of Ontario or under an Act of Parliament, including, but not limited to, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and Landlord and Tenant Board, and proceedings under the Provincial Offences Act such as the Highway Traffic Act and Municipal by-law charges.

Angela is adept at marshaling the relevant evidence she needs to advance her clients’ positions. While Arkhon takes a proactive approach to resolution discussions to avoid costly proceedings for clients, in circumstances where early resolution or settlement is not feasible, Angela will advocate on her client’s behalf in all legal divisions.

Angela is designated as a commissioner for taking affidavits and, as such, may take affidavits and administer other legal oaths, affirmations, or declarations within or outside Ontario, or subject to any territorial limit the Attorney General may specify, as permitted by the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act.

She is also designated as a Notary Public, appointed by the Ministry of the Attorney General to witness oaths, sign affidavits, and certify documents to be true copies of the original.

Prior to becoming a licensed paralegal, Angela worked in both private and public sectors in the areas of corporate, employment, labour, small claims, enforcement, and finance.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys spending time with family – especially her nieces and nephews – and friends.  She also enjoys bicycling, swimming, tennis, and travel, and will almost surely be found with a Starbucks mocha in hand.
